5 Minute Craft : Cute hair bows!

How to make cute hair bows!

Difficulty: Easy.
May require Adult supervision due to sharp objects and flame.

You will need:
* Ribbons.
* Scissors.
* Lighter / Matches.
* Pins.
* Hair Clips.
* Needle.
* Thread.
* Glue.
Optional: Hair weft to make clip in extensions.

One of the Bows I made.
First decide which ribbons you wish to use and what size you would like the bows to be. I used thick black satin ribbon, thinner white ribbon with printed pink stars on and thin white ribbon to tie the centre of the bow in place.

Cut the ribbon into double your designated length leaving at least 2cm on each side extra to over lap at the back.

Using the lighter or a match lightly melt the ends to stop the ribbon/s from fraying, and allow to cool for a few moments. Take your ribbon/s and fold the ends into the centre of the back, with a 2cm overlap. Using one of the pins, pin the ends in place going horizontally through the centre so you can pinch the edges together to form the gathered centre. Take a piece of the thin ribbon and tie it around the centre of the bow over the overlap and arrange the ends of the bow to sit how you would like. When you are happy, tie the ribbon in a double knot and remove the pin. I added a spot of super glue onto the knot to hold it securely in place but this is optional.

Taking your hair clip and your needle and thread, securely sew the clip into the back of the bow - If you want to add fake hair to your clip, cut your desired length of hair weft - you may like to use more than one row, sewn together for extra fullness. Then sew the hair to the bow before adding the hair clip.

Wear your Hair clip/s with pride!
